DB Hackett Is A Man On A Mission

After returning to the music scene from a 7 year hiatus back in 2003, DB Hackett has found a renewed passion for his music. His desire has brought him back to what he does best... writing & performing his own original songs. He is dedicated and acutely focussed on his path, nothing will slow him down or stand in his way...nothing.

Originally from Waynesboro, PA, coming from a musical family, DB resides in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. DB Hackett is one of the founding members of the "Brick Yard Road Band" out of Fayetteville, NC who toured the southeastern region for many years. A previous member of "Rewind Blue" from Asheville, NC who performed in the Western North Carolina region. In the late spring of 2013, DB Hackett formed his own Country-Rock band, The DB Hackett Band, and is currently performing with his band and on occasion as a solo artist.

Influenced by Waylon Jennings, Ronnie Van Zant, Hank Williams, Jr... outlaw country, traditional country and southern rock music. DB Hackett is a melody maker and songwriter, he's penned more than many original songs, as well as, co-written countless songs with various artists within the last several years. His musical style meanders primarily through country/rock/southern rock but every now and then he'll surprise you with some modern rock tunes. DB Hackett is well received by his audiences because his natural talent shines through every performance. Be sure to check his calendar and catch a show soon, then you'll see for yourself and know exactly what we're talkin about!

Music from the heart & soul of the man with a "special mojo", doing what he was born to do...

Update January 2014
DB Hackett was diagnosed in June 2013 with a rare and incurable hand disease named Dupuytren's Contracture in both hands, it is hereditary and treatments are available. In late September, DB had 1 hand treatment done which was successful in restoring his fingers positioning to near 100% normal, however, this was a temporary fix and he will require another treatment in the future. It is not uncommon to require 2-3 treatments which may or may not put the disease in remission.
